Comic Book Resources has an interview with Matt Kindt who talks about his upcoming Star Wars mini-series Rebel Heist. The four issue series will be launching in April and published by Dark Horse Comics. The series will feature artwork by Marco Castiello (who was a penciller for Knight Errant: Escape and Purge: The Tyrant’s Fist).

Then, the next day, I was taking a shower or something, and I just had an idea. “That’s what I could do!” I wasn’t trying to think of an idea for it; an idea just popped into my head. So I called them back the next day. “If it can’t be this, I don’t know if I have time to think of another thing.” They were really great about it.
As well as the premise… Continue Reading Matt Kindt Talks ‘Rebel Heist’…

Galaxy Blood Drive

If you’re near Providence, RI or Portland, OR this Saturday, be sure to stop by for the Galaxy Blood Drive. Setup at the Rhode Island Blood Center and the American Red Cross, Star Wars and Star Trek cosplayers will be out in force to drum up support a good cause. Star Wars author Ryder Windham will be in Providence along with members of the 501st New England Garrison, the Rebel Legion’s Alderaan Base, and the Andorians of XLV Korelath. He’s also going to try and do a remote appearance for Portland. There will be complementary Star Wars and Star Trek toys.
I hope you will attend the Star Trek vs. Star Wars Oregon Galaxy Blood Drive Saturday, Dec. 28, which is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the American Red Cross donor center at 3131 N. Vancouver Ave.
As much as I’d like to be there too, I’ll be coordinating a simultaneous Galaxy Blood Drive at the Rhode Island Blood Center in Providence. However, if all goes according to plan, I’ll be making an audio-visual visit to the blood drive in Oregon via the wonders of 21st Century telecommunication technology.
So you know, I like the idea of a “Star Trek vs. Star Wars” blood drive so much that I stole it. But what I like even more is an idea of my own invention: “Galaxy Blood Drive: Rhode Island vs. Oregon.” In other words, I challenge you to help your fair city collect more units of blood than mine on December 28.
Thanks for reading and bleeding!
All best,
– Ryder
