Mass Effect: Ascension is the follow up novel to Mass Effect: Revelation. Like the previous book, it’s also a prequel to the next game in the series. One thing I like about Drew Karpyshyn’s Mass Effect novels is that they don’t star or even feature Commander Shepard, the main character of the games. In Ascension, the main characters are a Cerberus agent, a traitorous quarian, and a human biotics scientist. What unfolds is another great sci-fi story from Karphyshyn.
