Here’s this week’s Podcasts in Review.

Assembly of Geeks: Episode 11.19.2013 kicks off with some humorous additions for Star Wars Episode VII from the hosts. Remember, this is a show where they speak in character as if they’re real super heroes in their secret headquarters. It definitely adds a spin to the episodes, and sometimes some good laughs. Beyond Star Wars, they talk a little Batman and Superman, Peter Pan movies (believe it or not, there’s a bunch coming out), and Hunger Games.

Bombad Radio: Episodes 107 features an interview with voice actor Dave Fennoy who voice Pong Krell in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. While they don’t talk too much Star Wars in this interview, Dave does talk about his gig for The Walking Dead video game, plus some other projects. Be sure to stay tuned after the credits as Dave some cool promos.

Episode 108 features an interview with author Drew Karpyshyn. Seriously, when it comes to author interviews, Bombad Radio has some of the best out there. Their Drew Karpyshyn interview is no different. If you’re a fan of Drew’s books, be sure to check this one out. They cover all of Drew’s career from video games to books, as well as his upcoming novels and more.

Episode 110 features the one and only Sam Witwer. I haven’t had a chance to listen to it yet, but it’s definitely on my playlists. Besides, it’s Sam Witwer, what more do you need to know? Witwer interviews are always a must listen.

RebelForce Radio: Episode 11.22.2013 is their annual Thanksgiving Special featuring lots of feedback and requests from fans. I have to admit, when it comes to feedback episodes, RebelForce Radio does it best. Rather than just being an episode full of fans saying how much they love the show, Jimmy and Jason use it as an opportunity to spin more discussion about the thing we all really love: Star Wars. Nice episode and worth checking out.

Rebels Report: Episode 2 has a great interview Star Wars: The Clone Wars writer Brent Friedman who shares lots of cool details. He mentions that they not only wrote enough scripts for season seven, which was intended to be the end of the show, but also a bonus season eight. Brent biggest regret was not seeing his season opener for season seven. While he didn’t mention too many details, he did mention Cad Bane was going to get some serious attention in the future episodes. For TCW fans, you won’t want to miss this episode.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 410 features a rundown on Star Wars Black Friday deals as well as a holiday gift guide giving listeners ideas for Star Wars gifts.

Star Wars Influences: Episode 2 discusses Paul Bateman’s new piece of artwork for Star War Insider 145 which takes an original thumbnail drawing by Ralph McQuarrie and turns it into a finished painting. Paul also talks about his slight disappointment with The Star Wars comic series from Dark Horse Comics. While he says it’s a great idea and great looking artwork, it just isn’t working for him. Then they dig deep into the comic books that may have influence George Lucas including comics that have scenes that look like direct lifts. Don’t forget to check out their page for a picture gallery of the artwork they discuss in the episode.

Star Wars Report: Episode 112 covers a quick recap of the Star Wars Episode VII open casting news plus a glimpse at the process involved for online submissions.

Episode 113 runs a little longer as they bring in guests Tricia Barr and Teresa Delgado to talk about their new podcast Fangirls Going Rogue. The episode starts off with questions and ends with a little bit of news including some rumors on the Star Wars: The Clone Wars bonus content (which makes it sound like we’ll be getting ten episodes).
