Art
- Looking for Star Wars 1313 concept art? Check out Gus Mendonca’s website for some you probably haven’t seen before.
- If you’re in the Chicago area this weekend, be sure to check out Star Wars artist Dave Dorman who will be at two events: Wheaton’s Blick Art Supply on Saturday November 2nd (from 2:00 to 4:00 PM) for a live art demo, and in Westmont for the Maleficium exhibit at J. Anthony Kosar’s studio.
- Ewoks: Shadows of Endor writer and comic artist Zack Giallongo will be at Casablanca Comics in Portland, ME on Saturday November 2nd.
Books
- Goodreads is running a giveaway for five audiobook copies of Martha Wells‘ The Wizard Hunters. Contest ends November 7th.
- Author Daniel Abraham (co-author of the upcoming Honor Among Thieves) will be discussing space opera and science fiction along with other Orbit Books authors for A Night at the Space Opera, an online, Google+ event on November 7th.
- John Jackson Miller‘s Overdraft: The Orion Offensive is now available as an audiobook (links to B&N and Amazon).
- Kevin J. Anerson‘s Naughty & Nice eBook is on sale now.
- Pete over on Lightsaber Rattling has a nice hands on review of The Bounty Hunter Code.
- Christie Golden announced a new project she is working on via Facebook.

Conventions
- OctopodiCon 2013 runs from November 1-3 in Norman, OK. Star Wars author Martha Wells will be there.
- Geek Media Expo is this weekend in Franklin, TN. Star Wars author Timothy Zahn will be there all three days.
- Rhode Island Comiccon is this weekend in Providence, RI. Star Wars author Ryder Windham will be there at the 501st Legion booth with a limited supply of copies of both the Death Star Owner’s Technical Manual and the Millennium Falcon Owners’ Workshop Manual. This is a chance to get the Death Star manual early and to get both of them signed. Proceeds will be going to Hasbro Children’s Hospital. Other Star Wars guests include Billy Dee Williams, Phil Lamar, Cathy Munroe (Zuckuss), Chris Parsons (4-LOM), Allan Harris (Bossk), John Mortin (Boba Fett), Paul Blake (Greedo), Bonnie Piesse (Aunt Beru, ROTS), Barrie Holland (ROTJ), Jett Lucas, and Tim Rose (Ackbar).
- Polish fans can look forward to seeing Star Wars author Kevin J. Anderson next week at Falkon in Lublin, Poland.

- FANgirl Blog has posted an interview with Razor’s Edge author Martha Wells.
- StarWars.com has post part two of their interview with Dave Filoni covering Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season Five.
- Bleeding Cool has an interview with author Daniel Abraham covering his work in adapting Game of Thrones into comics.
Rumors
- Fact: There is a movie coming out called The LEGO Movie. Rumor: Michael Daingerfield will be voicing Han Solo in it. Check out The Star Wars Underworld for more.
- Jedi News and their inside source is reporting a rumor that Harrison Ford is back and they have some interesting details…if true.
- The Hollywood Reporter has a juicy rumor about J.J. Abrams and company asking for a delay in Star Wars Episode VII only to be denied by Iger who wants it to remain 2015.

- Jedi News has a nice look at Wave Three of The Black Series 6″ line.
- Jedi Temple Archives has a possible list of upcoming Star Wars figures which includes new 6″ figures and yes, a Jabba the Hutt.

- Star Wars continues to light up YouTube with new videos. This week they posted an interview clip with George Lucas describing the process of selecting Leia.
