501stCast: June 2013 Episode covers mission reports, upcoming events and news for the 501st Legion. Be sure to check out the show notes for all kinds of cool stuff to check out.

Beyond the Screens:  is not a Star Wars podcast, but The Geek Might Rises episode they did had some interesting discussion on the new Superman movie Man of Steel, geek culture and female fans, plus upcoming movies like Kick Ass 2, Jurassic Park 4 and Independence Day 2. The hosts included Tricia from FANgirl Blog. If you’re looking to try some podcasts outside of Star Wars, this one may be worth a listen.

Dark Empire Radio: Holonet Audio Dramas has some new fanfiction called Maximum Firepower, Maximum Efficiency. It’s a brief audio fanfic about a Jedi and some clonetroopers dealing with some Wookiees in a hostage situation. Short, to the point, and worth a listen if you like Star Wars fanfic and audiodramas.

Full of Sith: Episode XXIX has hosts Mike and Bryan talking with fellow podcaster Leigh George Kade about Star Wars. From video games to tabletop roleplaying, they cover a wide range of topics.

Rebel Force Radio: Their July 5, 2013 Episode covers some Star Wars news before kicking off a very interesting interview with Charles Lippincott who was behind the marketing of Star Wars back in 1977. Charles had a lot of intriguing stories and colorful viewpoints. Definitely worth checking out.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 398 covers Star Wars Celebration Europe II goodies, San Diego Comic Con panels, events and other collecting news. They also have an interview with Star Wars author Troy Denning covering his latest book, Crucible and a lot on Fate of the Jedi, Star Wars Episode VII and how Dave Filoni helped out with Mortis. There are spoilers, so fair warning.

Temple Archives (aka Star Wars Book Report): Episode 71 starts out with some rants before diving into a detailed discussion of Starfighters of Adumar. The podcast finishes off with a spoiler free discussion of Star Trek Into Darkness and J.J. Abrams as Wayne and Jesse speak with special guest Matthew Rushing.

The Sarlacc Pit: Episode 65 has an interview with Star Wars artist Joe Corroney and as an added bonus, Joe sticks around for the whole episode to add to the discussion where they cover their top five overrated characters. I liked hearing Joe’s side of the discussion, however the hosts has some very…interesting opinions on overrated Star Wars characters.
