ForceCast: Special CEII Artist Interviews Episode one includes some really nice interviews with Star Wars Celebration Europe II artists Joe Corroney, Hugh Fleming and Lin Zy. All three artists are interviewed by fellow artist Spencer Brinkerhoff III. Definitely worth listening to.

Special CEII Artist Interviews Episode two covers Star Wars artists Brian Rood, Chris Trevas and Jerry Vanderstelt. I’m really enjoying these special interview episodes. Spencer does a great job and I’m looking forward to listening to more.

Full of Sith: The Story of Star Wars Special Release episode is something fans may or may not want to skip. Mike gives a brief intro and then plays The Story of Star Wars (which was a record released in 1977) in its entirety. It’s basically the audio for A New Hope but with narration so listeners can follow along with the action. Definitely cool to have it out there if you ever want to give it a listen.

Jedi Journals: July Episode includes special guest Erich Schoeneweiss, Del Rey Senior Production Manager. Jay and Chris cover all things books including a new book from Scholastic I Am George Lucas, comics like Star Wars Legacy Book 1 HC, The Star Wars #1 variant covers (the normal cover, the variant, ultravariant, and several independent variants), Star Wars, Darth Vader and the Ninth Assassin, The Smuggler’s Code. Johnny Star Wars? Yes, this guest left me speechless. Then they delve into a spoiler discussion of Scoundrels where Erich reveals that during the design for the cover, Paul Youll created one that featured Eanjer. They also talk about Star Wars Reads Day and upcoming Star Wars Del Rey swag that will be at San Diego Comic Con. Death Star Owner’s Workshop Manual should be out the first week of November and Erich is hopeful that the cover will be ready for display at SDCC. Jedi Journals had a giveaway announcement for two autographed copies of Crucible for US residents, and one advanced reader copy for non-US residents. Just send them an email saying what your favorite Troy Denning Star Wars novel is. They wrapped up with a discussion of upcoming books including William Shakespeare’s Star Wars and a reading by Jay and Chris. Erich revealed that John Jackson Miller will have a new Obi-Wan short story that ties into Kenboi in Star Wars Insider 143 with three new images by Chris Scalf (who did the Kenobi promo art). The story will be set within the time frame of Episode III.

Rebel Force Radio: The Celebrity Commentary – Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back episode features another movie commentary track with special guest Sam Witwer. Sam, Jimmy Mac and Jason Swank watch and discuss The Empire Strikes Back with lots of fun, interesting asides and observations. It’s works well even if you don’t follow along with the movie.

Star Wars Action News: Episode 397 covers more of the San Diego Comic Con Star Wars exclusives, some Gentle Giant coverage, and a fairly positive, relatively spoiler free review of Troy Denning’s Crucible. They also talked with the LEGO master builder behind the giant X-Wing and some discussion about upcoming LEGO projects.

Star Wars Book Worms: Episode 7 features host Aaron Goins and two special guest hosts, Mark Hurliman (Star Wars Report, Star Wars Beyond the Films and EUCast) and Tricia Barr (FANgirl Blog, Suvudu, Star Wars Insider). They cover the Dark Horse comic Darth Maul: Death Sentence as well as the novel Dawn of the Jedi: Into the Void by Tim Lebbon. There’s some really great discussion and the hosts for this episode were very entertaining. I highly recommend checking this one out. And if you’re on the fence about checking out either the comic or the book, this episode might help you make up your mind.
