Inside ‘The Dancers’ Pit’ With Shea Standefer

If you’re into cosplay and/or the EU, you probably stand a good chance of recognizing Shea Standefer, since she’s pretty much the penultimate Jaina Solo cosplayer. While you may know her for her love of the EU and cosplay, she is also a talented artist, and I’ve been following Shea’s career since our days together on a discussion forum. With talent, determination and hard work, Shea’s love of Star Wars has been rewarded. She is now an official Star Wars artist, with an official print that will be available at CEII, and she shared some of her process for The Dancers’ Pit with Roqoo Depot. You can read our interview with Shea after the cut.

May 31, 2013 at 7:07 am | Posted in Podcasts, Podcasts in Review, Regular Feature, Star Wars | Leave a commentDark Empire Radio: Episode 84 announces a transition for the podcast as they will no longer be doing mission reports for the Dark Empire costume group and will instead be focusing more on audio fan fiction. This episode in particular features some best of highlights from the podcast’s history and some of the famous guests they’ve spoken with. It also includes an audio fan fic for a Mandalorian Jedi story that’s pretty decent, and a somewhat funny fan fic for Indiana Jones that throws in some 007 and snake humor. If you like fan fic audio shorts, this one is worth trying out.
Full of Sith: Episode XXIV includes special guest Andrea Letamendi as they cover the psychology of Star Wars and even a little Star Trek (if you’re avoiding Star Trek spoilers, they keep all the spoilery discussion at the very end and provide lots of fair warning. Just be sure to stop listening when Consetta leaves, as she’s staying spoiler free as well). Lot of fun discussion, be sure to check it out.
Rebel Force Radio: Episode 5-24-13 is full of fun and covers a lot of topics, from toys to entertainment. They cover some recollections of their past toy experiences, the new Star Wars Rebels television show (and the coincidental naming), Kyle Newman’s documentary The Return of Return of the Jedi, J.J. Abrams appearance on the Howard Stern show and his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel show. They also speak with Cory Freeman, the judge’s pick winner of the We Love Fine Star Wars t-shirt contest.
