Star Wars #4 hit stores this week and there’s been quite a bit of activity on the web. For starters, interior artist Carlos D’Anda and colorist Gabe Eltaeb have been sharing some of the artwork on Facebook.
“….that moment when you read the scrip and it asks for a few Imperial Destroyers and a Death Star under-construction, and the giddy fanboy-ness gives way to cold-sweat and the realization that YOU have to draw it!!!” –Carlos D’Anda
“This has been on of my favorite pages to draw so far in terms of “mood”, (and Gabe did an awesome job with the colors) …. I really dig the fact that “we” the reader, don’t know who Darth Vader is yet (in terms of continuity), so it was really fun drawing it with that mindset!” –Carlos D’Anda
Gabe Eltaeb also mentioned that he’s halfway done with the colors for Star Wars #6, “You won’t believe how great Brian Wood and Carlos D’Anda wrapped this arc up.”
Lastly, Ryan Kelly posted that he’ll be handling the art for three issues of Star Wars in July. Here’s a peak at his Vader art.
