Seven New Series For Syfy

Syfy_IDIt seems that Syfy has finally remembered it’s a scifi channel.  It announced on Blastr this morning that it’s developing 7 new series complete with angels, magic and aliens, among other things.  Well, Blastr actually got the news from The Hollywood Reporter, and since Blastr belongs to Syfy I don’t get it either.  Do Blastr and Syfy not talk to each other?

Anyway, the seven new series are as listed:

Clandestine
Dominion
Orion
Sojourn
Shelter
Infinity
Silver Shields

Quidditch World Cup

Now that March Madness has finally wrapped up we can get on to the really important stuff in the world of sports.  Yes, I’m talking about the sixth annual Quidditch World Cup this Saturday in Kissimmee, Florida.  What, you were expecting Romania or the Scottish Highlands?  Sorry to disappoint, but you can expect brooms, quaffles and the golden snitch.  Fair warning, though, there are no Hollywood special effects here.  The games is played a bit more down to earth in our muggle world.

Vader Sends In Stormtroopers

We’re talking real life here.  Disguised as Vader and his stormtroopers, activists raided a suspected drug dealer’s shop in Odessa, Ukraine.  And someone got it on video.
