Newsarama has a juicy look at the next Dark Times arc, A Spark Remains, with some beautiful looking artwork from Doug Wheatley. There’s cover art, interior art and comments from writer Randy Stradley.
Launching July 17, Star Wars: Dark Times: A Spark Remains shows one of the last “sparks” of Jedi – the insectoid Beyghor Sahdett and a lovesick Dass Jennir – attempting to mount an assassination of the right hand of the Empire, Darth Vader. The Jedi are used to long odds, but even these two know they need some back-up – it’s just a matter of finding the right Jedi for the job.

Author John Jackson Miller kicked off his new sci-fi project this week with Episode 1 of Overdraft: The Orion Offensive, an eight episode science fiction story full of aliens, action and humor. The story I wrote for the book — which Baen published in 2012 — was “Human Error,” an extended, humorous anecdote about a group of space marines who get sent the wrong species’ armor by mistake.
