And here’s the news…

George Lucas made an interesting headline this week with his appearance on CBS This Morning announcing that he’s going to start a museum (didn’t we all here Indy yelling “It belongs in a museum!”). You can check out the video here.

In the better late than never category, Chronicle Books had a nice write up on the making of the cover for Vader’s Little Princess. Written by Jeffrey Brown, who also did Vader and Son, Vader’s Little Princess will be out on April 23rd.

In non-Star Wars movie news, Harrison Ford is doing Anchor Man 2 alongside Will Ferrell; Christian Bale and Christopher Nolan are rumored to be in for Justice League; and Iron Man 3 has new trailers and movie posters out.

If you missed out on the Star Wars panel at Emerald City Comic Con (which featured Randy Stradley, Brian Wood, Corinna Bechko and Gabriel Hardman), you can check out the full video of the panel here.

Bloomberg Business Week had a very nice write up of Disney’s purchase of Lucasfilm. If you scan all the way to the bottom, George Lucas had a nice little quote…

“We had already signed Mark and Carrie and Harrison—or we were pretty much in final stages of negotiation. So I called them to say, ‘Look, this is what’s going on.’ ” He pauses. “Maybe I’m not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do, but we were negotiating with them.” Then he adds: “I won’t say whether the negotiations were successful or not.”

For any Star Wars fans in the Memphis, TN area, Midsouth Con 31 has posted their con schedule. Star Wars author and comic writer John Jackson Miller and Star Wars author Christie Golden will both be in attendance. You can find John’s panels here, and Christie’s here.

Wrapping things up, The Clone Wars supervising director Dave Filoni did a post-season finale interview with IGN. Ahsoka Tano voice actress Ashley Eckstein also got in on the interview action with interviews with Rebel Force Radio (which you can listen to here or download here), IGN and Full of Sith.
