Random House has posted a new blurb for Troy Denning’s upcoming Star Wars: Crucible:
Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, and Luke Skywalker return in an all-new Star Wars adventure, which will challenge them in ways they never expected—and forever alter their understanding of life and the Force.
When Han and Leia Solo arrive at Lando Calrissian’s Outer Rim mining operation to help him thwart a hostile takeover, their aim is just to even up the odds and lay down the law. Then monstrous aliens arrive with a message, and mere threats escalate into violent sabotage with mass fatalities. When the dust settles, what began as corporate warfare becomes a battle with much higher stakes—and far deadlier consequences.
Now Han, Leia, and Luke team up once again in a quest to defeat a dangerous adversary bent on galaxy-wide domination. Only this time, the Empire is not the enemy. It is a pair of ruthless geniuses with a lethal ally and a lifelong vendetta against Han Solo. They will stop at nothing to control the lucrative Outer Rim mining trade—and ultimately the entire galactic economy. And when the murderous duo gets the drop on Han, he finds himself outgunned in the fight of his life. To save him, and the galaxy, Luke and Leia must brave a gauntlet of treachery, terrorism, and the untold power of an enigmatic artifact capable of bending space, time, and even the Force itself into an apocalyptic nightmare.

The Dark Horse Star Wars panel was today at Emerald City Comic Con. Corinna Bechko, Gabriel Hardman, Brian Wood and Randy Stradley were all there. Amy Ratcliffe had some excellent coverage on Twitter. Here’s a recap of her tweets.
- Brian Wood’s Star Wars comic is one of Dark Horses most successful Star Wars launches.
- Brian really liked writing in the time period after A New Hope because he gets to explore stuff he always wanted to see.
- Characters from the previous Legacy series will show up in the new series even though they aren’t the focus.
- Even though we’ll see new characters and places, the team on new Legacy is trying to keep it feeling like Star Wars. Continue Reading Emerald City Comic Con: Star Wars Recap…
Is this the End for The Clone Wars?
March 3, 2013 at 5:20 pm | Posted in News, Star Wars News, Television, The Clone Wars | 1 CommentWith the great finale of season five of The Clone Wars, fans are hyped and ready for season six. We’ve heard from interviews by Full of Sith with voice actors Dee Bradley Baker and Tom Kane that there are clone trooper and Yoda episodes. We’ve heard from Sam Witwer via an interview with Rebel Force Radio that there are Darth Maul episodes. But will there be an season six? Is Disney going to pick up the show?
We know Cartoon Network’s contract ended with season five. We won’t hear from Disney until mid March. And according to Rebel Force Radio and numerous credible sources, the future of The Clone Wars is in jeopardy. That’s why Rebel Force Radio has started a letter campaign. The reasoning is sound. If a thousand letters end up on Bob Iger’s desk, chances are, Disney will listen. So help do your part and let Disney know that we want to see Star Wars The Clone Wars Season 6 happen. Just write a polite letter to the following address…
Disney Studios
500 S Buena Vista St
Burbank, CA 91521
Attn: Bob Iger
You can also write a letter to Kathleen Kennedy…
Lucasfilm
P.O. Box 29901
San Francisco, CA 94129-0901
Attn: Kathleen Kennedy
If you need any help with letter templates or additional addresses to reach out to, Rebel Force Radio has you covered. Just check out their Facebook page for more details. They also have a voicemail campaign you can check out (details here). It’s only a stamp and a moment of time. Make sure your voice gets heard.

Upcoming Into the Void author Tim Lebbon has signed two new book deals. Titan Books will be publishing Coldbrook for a North American release after its success in the UK. Secondly, there’s The Silence, which will have simultaneous releases for both the US and UK. According to Tim, The Silence “…is a brand new novel about the end of the world … and perhaps the beginning of another. It follows a family and their close friends as they struggle to survive in a world overrun by ravenous creature that hunt purely by sound.”
