STAR WARS #1 SELLS OUT . . . AGAIN!
THIRD PRINTING SET TO ARRIVE AT RETAIL ON FEBRUARY 27!
JANUARY 25, MILWAUKIE, OR—The critically acclaimed and highly anticipated Star Wars #1, written by Brian Wood, has officially sold out of its second printing before the release of issue #2!
This all-new Star Wars series is set in the time period of the original trilogy, directly following the events of Episode IV: A New Hope, and features the franchise’s best-loved characters, as told by Brian Wood (X-Men, DMZ, Conan the Barbarian, The Massive), with art from Carlos D’Anda (Batman: Arkham City). This is Star Wars as you remember it . . . and as you have never seen it before! Dark Horse is taking you back to those heady, adventure-filled days following the destruction of the Death Star—when the Empire ruled, the Rebels were on the run, and the galaxy was a dangerous place where anything might happen!

Lots of news this week. Aside from some of the big news like the Star Wars Episode VII director or the new Darth Maul book by Joe Schreiber (with an early 2014 release), there’s been some other noteworthy headlines.
First up, Star Wars Celebration Europe tickets have gone on sale. If you haven’t bought yours yet (and if you can go), you can get them here on the official site.
The animated short LEGO Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Out will be out on DVD on March 26 and will include a LEGO mini-figure. (via starwars.com)
In interview news, Star Wars Report interviewed Stephen Stanton covering his work as Colonel Meebur Gascon in the recent droid arc in The Clone Wars. Club Jade interviewed fellow voice actor James Arnold Taylor. And Amazing Stories posted an interview with Kevin J. Anderson covering his new sequel to The Saga of the Seven Suns, The Dark Between the Stars.
In completely unrelated news, comic writer Tom Taylor is investing his billions in the construction of doomsday devices. While he directly disavowed the rumor, he simultaneously threatened to destroy the neighborhoods of anyone who opposes him. We’re unsure how far along he is in the construction of such weapons of mass destruction, but we’ll keep you posted.
