In book news, author Martha Wells has a great article on John Scalzi’s site which discusses the focus of her Books of the Raksura series and how it relates to her own life. If you’re thinking about diving into the series, the article gives a very nice overview of each book without spoiling anything. Martha will also be doing a book signing in Houston, Texas tomorrow from 3-4 PM at Murder by the Book.

Speaking of book signings, Jason Fry will be in Northvale, New Jersey tomorrow from 11-1 PM at Books and Greetings for DK Books.

Matthew Stover mentioned on Facebook that he’s currently working on no less than five novels, but the real question is: are any of them Star Wars? When pressed if he would write the novelization for Episode VII, he said he’d take the job if Disney offers. Now everyone can get their hopes up.

Author Kevin Hearne has been very busy lately and last weekend he did a livestreaming event for the release of his new book Trapped. Star Wars fans can skip to the 27 minute mark where Kevin talks about writing for Star Wars and working with Leland Chee. You can watch the entire event for even more laughs. We’re fairly certain Kevin could make a living as a comedian if this whole writing thing ever falls through.

Rounding out book news, Paul S. Kemp did an interview with Dungeon Crawler Radio that you can listen to here (starts at 15 minute mark).

For art lovers, Brian Rood is giving fans another chance at picking up his Star Wars Celebration VI print on eBay.

In movie news, Superman has been arrested for flying while intoxicated…

…or maybe he was caught looking through dressing room doors again. Either way, the new poster is out and a new trailer will be shown before The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey.

On a serious note, Star Wars artist Dave Dorman is in the hospital after getting an abscess removed. Be sure to stop by Facebook and Twitter to give Dave your get well wishes.
