Kevin Hearne Announces New Novels

Kevin Hearn, author of the Iron Druid Chronicles (reviews on this blog), and the upcoming Star Wars novel set between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, and featuring Luke Skywalker, announced on his blog that Del Rey has given him the go-ahead for six new novels.
Three of the novels will be Iron Druid works (concluding the series) and the title of the 7th Iron Druid book is Shattered. In addition, an IDC novella, The Grimoire of the Lamb, will be included as an e-book original.
As well, Kevin promises that the other three books will be epic.
The books are all hardcover and no release date has been announced.

First Look at Legalos in There And Back Again

He’s back and although it isn’t until the third installment of the Hobbit Trilogy, who doesn’t like looking at Orlando Bloom?
While Legalos technically isn’t in The Hobbit book, Entertainment Weekly has an exclusive which explains how he managed to make it into the movie. Included in the article are a few details about Bard the Bowman in regards to the movie.

Paul Chadwick and Harlan Ellison join forces at DC for new series

Free Comic Book Day 2013

Thankfully Star Wars is among them and it will feature comic writer Brian Wood and artist Ryan Odagawa, “an all-ages adventure! Star Wars joins fan-favorite villains Darth Vader and Boba Fett.”
Unfortunately fans will have to wait until May 4, 2013.

The vast expanded universe of Star Wars has become the home of many writers and artists. One of those artists is the talented Kellie Strom who illustrated a little story called “Fortune, Fate, and the Natural History of the Sarlacc.”
The story appeared in Star Wars: Tales #6, which was later collected in Star Wars: Tales Volume 2.
