J K Rowling: for floating the idea that she’d like to do a director’s cut on two of her Harry Potter books.

“There were a couple of the Potters and I definitely knew that they needed another year,” Rowling told the BBC arts editor Will Compertz. Her last Potter novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, came out in 2007.  “I had to write on the run and there were times when it was really tough.  “And I read them, and I think ‘Oh God, maybe I’ll go back and do a director’s cut,’ I don’t know.  There were a couple of the Potters and I definitely knew that they needed another year.”

You can catch a video of J K Rowling on BBC News.

Jawa James: Club Jade has a nifty interview with Lego: The Empire Strikes Out writer, Michael Price.  It’s always fun to read how these ideas come about so check out the interview here.

John Ostrander: Besides writing some of the best comics in the galaxy, John constantly posts some of the funniest stuff we’ve ever seen.  Seriously, we get half our stuff from John.  The other half comes from George Takei.

Our last shout out goes to the wonderful and irrepressible George Takei (and his facebook page).  George is 75 and currently starring in the musical Allegiance.  The musical play is about the internment of Japanese Americans in camps during WWII, a project close to George’s heart.  During the war he was interned in one in Arkansas.

Live long and prosper, George.
