Every now and then, we here at Roqoo Depot like to give stuff away. Everyone likes free stuff: free books, free comics, and best of all, free Star Wars Celebration VI goodies!

Up for grabs we have a copy of John Jackson Miller’s Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories, Jeff Grubb’s Scourge, Lost Tribe of the Sith Spiral #1, Darth Maul: Death Sentence #1, a Galactic Passport from Star Wars Celebration VI stamped by all the publishers and signed by Chris Trevas, Chris Reiff, Jason Fry, Joe Corroney, Troy Denning, Drew Baker, Jan Duursema, Brian Wood, Dave Dorman, and John Jackson Miller, a signed Dave Dorman trading card, Han Solo Trading cards, a Blood Ties: Boba Fett is Dead print, Scoundrel‘s bookmarks, and X-Wing: Mercy Kill t-shirt iron-on’s.

With so much to giveaway, we’ve decided to divide the spoils among two winners. To enter, just leave a comment letting us know who your favorite author is. The catch: you have to pick between Troy Denning, Drew Karpyshyn, James Luceno, John Jackson Miller, and Timothy Zahn (hint: your votes will help determine which interviews we post next).

*Free shipping to anyone in the contiguous United States (if you’re outside the US and want to enter, you’ll have to pay shipping via Paypal). Winners will be chosen on Tuesday. Make sure to include your email when you leave a comment so we can contact you in case you win.

  1. It’s got to be Zahn for me! His novels feel the most like the films!

  2. The obvious answer is Zahn, but I really have to go with Karpysnyn for the Bane novels. I read thru those three books faster than any other series! I could not put them down! And I don’t even care for that time period. I generally like the later time from the NJO to Fate, but was captured by the back story of the Rule of Two. Great series!

  3. It’s definitely going to have to be Drew Karpyshyn with his Bane books!! Truly awesome material!!!

  4. Although I’ve always been a die hard Zahn fan, John Jackson Miller has swayed me to his camp by being consistently awesome in books and comics.

  5. You have to go with Zahn. How can anyone top the Thrawn Trilogy? If not for the actual content of the books themselves (which is enough for me), then for all the wonderful EU content that their popularity drove.

  6. I’ve got to go with Zahn. He is who got me started in the EU and remains one of my favorites. I haven’t read a Zahn SW book yet that I do not like.

  7. Zahn definitely. Mara’s just too awesome, and that trilogy is just too great.

  8. I got to go with Zahn on this one. He introduced my two favorite characters to the timeline, Mara Jade and Grand Admiral Thrawn. I always enjoy his entries into the series and cant wait for the next one.

  9. Like most everyone else… Its gotta be Timothy Zahn. The Thrawn Trilogy helped make me into the Star Wars fan I am today.

  10. I appreciate John Jackson Millers work for darkhorsecomics comics & his tweets are great!

  11. Timothy Zahn it is. He’s had some hits and misses lately, but doesn’t everyone? The Thrawn Trilogy is a classic I’ve read more than any other Star Wars books. It was, and is, the epitome of epic. :)

  12. i really admire the Tim Zahn’s novels. it really had me start with the SW books from 1991. i’m ready for more SW novels he is already working on now.

  13. Recently its Drew Karpyshyn hands down. Overall body of work there are a couple better options.

  14. John Jackson Miller! Love his KOTOR series

  15. I’m going to have to agree with Andy. I think John Jackson Miller takes it with the KOTOR series!

  16. Troy Denning! He seems to catch a lot of negativity lately with his most recent contributions, but I love the amount of action he puts into his stories.

  17. It has to be Denning for me. I really got back into the EU by reading (on accident of course) tempest of the LOTF series.

  18. Tim Zahn. His work was my first introduction to the SWEU and I’ve never looked back since then. I love how Zahn is able to capture the personality and feel of the star wars universe, I can picture his novels vividly like a movie in my mind. I’m really excited about scoundrels!

  19. I gotta go with zahn. He brought us Mara, thrawn, paleon, and the noghri. And had he not done it, the entire EU wouldn’t be what it is today.

  20. Out of the authors listed, I would have to pick Drew Karpyshyn, since I enjoyed every one of his EU books.

  21. Denning is probably my favorite but Zahn is right up there.

  22. Drew Karpyshyn, cause everybody wants to be a Sith! duhhh!

  23. […] Today is the last day for the Star Wars Labor Day Giveaway. If you haven’t entered yet, click here and get in before it’s too late. […]

  24. Denning

  25. Karin Travis
Need to finish Imperial Commando cycle. Make amends with her please.

  26. I vote Zahn.

  27. I vote Zahn!

  28. Is there a list of winners from this giveaway ?

  29. The winners were William Carey and mrushing02.
