According to Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff’s latest blog post, it’s certainly a possibility.

“He is unique and, in each book in which he appears, that uniqueness is refined upon just a bit. The Last Jedi is, for I-5YQ a tour de force (and no, I didn’t catch the pun until I got to it).  And I have to admit, for reasons I think you’ll understand when you read the book, he was especially fun to write in this Jax Pavan adventure.” -Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff

Whether I-Five will have a major role or not, at least we’ll be seeing more of one of our favorite Star Wars droids. The Last Jedi, written by Michael Reaves and Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff, will be out in paperback on March 26, 2013.

Author and comic writer John Jackson Miller revealed yesterday that he’s working on a new, original, science fiction novel.

“I’ve adjusted my schedule this year so I could finally devote serious time to some of these personal projects — including, I am pleased to say, my first original science-fiction novel, well underway. And that’s just one of several things moving ahead on that front!”

As a big fan of John’s Knight Errant novel and his original short stories (like the one featured in Armored), I’m really looking forward to this. No details yet on the plot, title, or publisher, but we will be sure to keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Meanwhile, be sure to check out John’s live chat today on Star Wars Book’s Facebook page which will start at 3PM EDT.

Today Dark Horse Comics has two new Star Wars releases. First up, Knight Errant: Escape #3.

The location of a powerful Sith relic is closer to being uncovered, and so is the fate of Jedi Kerra Holt’s lost family! Kerra’s knowledge has gotten a Sith reconnaissance team closer to the relic than would have been possible without her—but will her desire to find what happened to her family also bring more destruction to Sith territories? How long can she stay undercover and keep one step ahead of the team and their merciless leader?

The other release is a brand new series also by John Jackson Miller. Lost Tribe of the Sith: Spiral #1 continues the journey of the Lost Tribe and their messed up Sith denizens.

On a planet ruled by a tribe of Sith—marooned thousands of years ago and cut off from the galaxy—the throne holder is about to be challenged by a power-hungry Sith rebel from the slums . . . and a thwarted royal Sith princess! Their few shared interests set them on a quest together—but most certainly not as partners! The saga of the lost tribe continues in comics, following the release of John Jackson Miller’s Lost Tribe of the Sith: The Collected Stories—in print from Del Rey Books!
