DK Books is kicking off Summer of Star Wars events for June and July. They have a full list of all the participating libraries here so be sure to check if a library near you is on the list. The Millennium Fungus

Remember that image that was floating around awhile back; the one that looked liked a sunken Millennium Falcon?  Well, apparently it’s a mushroom.  A dive team brought back a sample and also reported that it was the weirdest thing they’ve ever encountered on a dive.  Hopefully they weren’t sampling the mushroom.

June 15-17 was St. Louis’ 3rd annual horror, sci-fi, and pop culture convention called Con-tamination. This year the ever growing event featured Star Wars actor Peter Mayhew along with members of the 501st Legion, Rebel Legion, Mandalorian Mercs, and The Dark Empire costuming groups, plus the R2 Builders Group.
