New Cover for ‘X-Wing: Mercy Kill’

Star Wars Books has posted a new cover image for X-Wing: Mercy Kill. Check it out.

Here is the old cover for comparison.

It certainly has a brighter feel to it. The inclusion of the Republic symbol is interesting, and not completely new. Both Shadow Games and the Heir to the Empire 20th Anniversary Edition went with prominent government symbols on their covers. However, I did like the little dog fight scene which is unfortunately dropped in the new cover. It’s a tough call: which is better?
