Timothy Zahn posted a little update yesterday after the reveal of his new novel Star Wars: Scoundrels.

I’ve noticed that speculation has already begun as to the identities of the rest of the scoundrels. Just to make it clear: while there may be a name or two you recognize, most of the rest of the group will be new characters. (Many of Han’s old established cohorts are smugglers, and we’re going to need *slightly* different skill sets on this one.)

We do know Han, Chewie, and Lando will be in the book, but we’ll have to wait and see who else. Scoundrels is set right after the events of A New Hope and is slated for release on December 26, 2012.

Yes, Fate of the Jedi is finally over. Three years ago Aaron Allston sent us off in Outcast. With Apocalypse, Denning brought us back home. We have seen Luke Skywalker become an outlaw excommunicated from his Jedi Order. We have seen his son, Ben Skywalker, fall in love with a Sith girl named Vestara Khai. But most significantly, we have seen the terror that is Abeloth; a tentacled Force being capable of driving young Jedi insane, incorporating multiple bodies simultaneously, and literally changing the landscape of the worlds she inhabits.
