New Release: Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace

Today the re-release of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace hits book stores. The new version features a new cover, and a new short story by James Luceno.

There was a lot of back and forth with Dave about Maul and Maul’s background. The two short stories that I’ve written for the re-release of Shadow Hunter and the re-release of The Phantom Menace novelization are going to deal a lot more with Maul’s background and Maul’s early years. They almost could be chapters lifted from Darth Plagueis, but I didn’t want to change the point of view and take the story into recounting Maul’s episodes as well. –James Luceno

  1. why is it not in the U.S. bookstores? i tried B&N.com booksellers and just the original cover. they have no new cover for that one. is that only for another state or still the U.S.? Please i dearly want to know. and thank you. i really want to read the whole book again and also the short story of Darth Maul.

  2. It should be out everywhere in the US. Lately there’s been issues with the re-releases, but that’s mostly been with online orders. You’ll probably need to talk with your local bookstore and see if they’re ordering any.

  4. one bookstore: barnesandnoble doesn’t have it. only the old one. i don’t think that they carry the reissues.

  6. well, now i am impressed that i finally got what i wanted: the new cover book of STAR WARS EPISODE I THE PHANTOM MENACE Novelization by Terry Brooks with the Short Story by James Luceno. i found it on the B&N.com and they have it, so i went today to get it and now i am very happy i don’t need to go to WALMART to get one because there’s no WALMART in Alhambra and/or i don’t need to ride different buses to get to WALMART. I was so looking for it online and now its with me and can’t complain more. thanks to B&N bookseller bookstore and B&N.com/ and its of course paperback and its fair now.
