Lucasfilm Holiday Greetings

StarWars.com has some pretty cool holiday greeting cards gathered over the years. They posted a slideshow of over several dozen different holiday cards ranging from Jabba Santa Claus to C-3PO and R2-D2 in Santa’s workshop. You can check out all the cards here. They’re well worth checking out.

Preliminary Cover for Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion

Random House has released a preliminary cover for Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion. Set for release on August 21, 2012, the book will cover all of the Star Wars published fiction and will include brand new artwork.

Star Wars: The Essential Reader’s Companion is the first Essential Guide devoted entirely to published Star Wars fiction, from the original movie novelization, to young reader’s books, short stories, eBook novellas, and the most recent adult novel. This book will cover all the fiction that has built the Star Wars Expanded Universe over the last thirty-five years.

Glee‘s Chewbacca Christmas Special

If you watch Glee, you’ll be glad to know that next Tuesday Chewbacca we’ll be on their special Christmas episode. According to the Huffington Post, the episode will in part play homage to the infamous Star Wars Holiday Special. According to Matthew Morrison…

“We called up George Lucas and he gave us Chewbacca. There is only one guy who can officially be Chewbaccca, and he lives in Northern California and they flew him in,” Morrison said. “We had Chewbacca for the day, and it was just great, and we were all taking pictures with him. This is a guy who has been doing it for 12 years.”
