Star Wars author Daniel Wallace posted some more details about the upcoming Book of Sith: Secrets from the Dark Side on his blog.
For this expose of the dark side we chose not to create a Sith textbook, since the Sith are far too jealous of their own power to share it widely. Instead we created Emperor Palpatine’s personal journal, made from sections of ancient texts that Palpatine ripped from their original sources and bound together in this new volume. The sections that Palpatine chose to preserve illuminate important aspects of Sith philosophy (I tried to draw on real-world influences like Sun Tzu and Leonardo Da Vinci to help ground the belief systems) and presumably gave him the Sith knowledge to execute his galactic takeover.
You can read it all here including a list of some of the commentators readers can expect to see. Book of Sith comes out February 10, 2012.
