Star Wars comic writer Tom Taylor has written a new comic in the DC Universe for their Online Legends series. DC Universe Online Legends #16 is the first part in the Brainiac-Sinestro Corps War, which will be followed by part two on November 16, 2011. 4. Looking back, I can see that what I write is influenced in small but noticeable ways by the art/media I’m consuming at that time. So when I look back at Riptide and its prequel, Crosscurrent, I can see little nods to Firefly and Battlestar Galactica, both of which I was watching at the time.

New KOTOR: War ship class

John Jackson Miller shared some neat info on a new ship class that will appear in the upcoming Knights of the Old Republic: War. The unnamed ship class is similar to the Hammerhead cruisers, but with a sideways prow. You can check out the details and the rough design here on John’s website. The Phantom Menace 3D trailer debuted with The Three Musketeers. For those who didn’t catch it, Bleeding Cool has the trailer posted online. Of course you won’t get the 3D effect. Still, for those who’d like to watch it, here it is.

Interview with JAKe from How To Speak Wookiee

StarWars.com interviewed JAKE, the illustrator for How To Speak Wookiee, on the official Star Wars Blog. The Star Wars Blog features some nice snapshots of the artwork JAKe did for the book. He also gives some pretty amusing replies to the questions.

Wookiees have a distinct low tolerance for management-speak like “Blue sky thinking,” “Going Forward” and “Singing from the same hymn sheet” and subsequently, the sound of arms being ripped from sockets is a common sound throughout the intergalactic business community.
