New Release: The Jedi Path Trade Edition
September 7, 2011 at 10:30 am | Posted in Books, Star Wars News | Leave a commentTags: daniel wallace, the jedi path
Today the trade edition of Daniel Wallace’s The Jedi Path hits stores. Unlike the vault edition, this one will not come with all the fancy extras. However it does come at a fraction of the cost (it’s only $12.87 on Amazon and Barnes & Noble). The 160 page hardcover includes the letter written by Luke Skywalker, as well as a redacted section detailing the Chosen One prophecy (in the vault edition these pages were torn out and the letter was a separate page).
Passed down from Master to apprentice, The Jedi Path is an ancient training manual that has educated and enlightened generations of Jedi. Within its pages, the Jedi-intraining will discover the history and lore of the Jedi Order, the ways of the Force and how to wield it, the subtle nuances of lightsaber combat, and the dangers of the Dark Side. The only remaining copy in existence, this hallowed tome features handwritten annotated notes by Yoda, Luke Skywalker, Count Dooku, and Darth Sidious, among many others. Created in collaboration with Lucasfilm along with an acclaimed Star Wars author and revered Star Wars illustrators this volume also introduces never-before-seen ships, creatures, characters, and details about the Star Wars galaxy.

Star Wars Cover Art: The Thrawn Trilogy
September 7, 2011 at 10:05 am | Posted in Art, Books | Leave a commentThey say you shouldn’t always judge a book by it’s cover, but that doesn’t mean the cover isn’t important. As part of a new ongoing series of articles, I’m going to undertake an exploration of Star Wars cover art that focuses on the novels. Whether it’s a closer look at the artists, a surprising variation of a cover, or an interesting piece of trivia, the articles will helpfully shed light on a subject that is often overlooked or only briefly glimpsed at.
In honor of the recent release of Timothy Zahn’s Heir to the Empire 20th Anniversary Edition, I’ll be looking at the cover art of the Thrawn Trilogy this week. Continue Reading Star Wars Cover Art: The Thrawn Trilogy…
