With the recent film release of Conan, many readers might have seen the novelization on bookshelves. What you might not have realized is that it’s written by esteemed author Michael A. Stackpole. Now it’s one thing to read a book that was so good it inspired a movie, but novelizations are often not held up to the same standards as other books. I wondered to myself whether Stackpole could pull off a novelization that was truly enjoyable, one that could stand up on its own and not feel like a script with a few bonus scenes. For weeks now the delay of Kinect: Star Wars has been known, but now it’s official:

Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realized. This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date. –Microsoft Spokesperson

As of yet there is no new release date for the game. It was originally slated for a December 31, 2011. The good news is that hopefully the delay will allow the developers to polish the game off and fix some of the issues that have been reported with early game previews.
