Even Force users need shades.  So if it’s time for you to buy a new pair Asylum for all Mankind has put together a helpful guide for you to get that fashion accessory look just right.  Now there’s no excuse for you to look like that nerdy fanboy or girl.  Of course you’ll also have to ditch the I heart Ewoks T shirt.

Having never seen the original, I came into Fright Night with an open mind and high hopes. And for the most part, the movie delivered and I was very pleased with it. First off it was immensely refreshing to see a Vampire movie where the vampires were not lusting after human girls. In Fright Night it is shown from Scene 1 that the vampires in this movie were not to be trifled with, and are purely evil beings. So kudos to the plot, in general. Random House has updated the description for the upcoming The Millennium Falcon Owner’s Workshop Manual by Ryder Windham.

This Haynes Manual traces the model history of the Corellian Engineering Corporation’s YT series of spaceships and the development of the YT-1300 model line before focusing on the Millennium Falcon, itself a modified YT-1300. Onboard systems, controls, and their operation are described in detail and supported by a host of photographs, line art, floor plans, exploded diagrams, and stunning computer-generated artwork, all newly created by acknowledged Falcon experts Chris Reiff and Chris Trevas. Text is by Ryder Windham, author of more than fifty Star Wars books.

Covering operational history, piloting, propulsion, weapons, engineering systems, sensors, and crew facilities, this is the most thorough technical guide to the Millennium Falcon available.

The hardcover book is scheduled for release on February 7, 2012.

If you grew up in the 90s, you heard voice actor Marc Thompson in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and MTV’s Daria.  Marc Thompson now narrates Star Wars audiobooks including The Old Republic: Deceived, Millennium Falcon, the Legacy of the Force series and the Fate of the Jedi series.  His next projects are Heir to the Empire: Behind the Scenes and Fate of the Jedi Ascension.  In our exclusive interview, Marc tells us what he likes in the Fate of the Jedi series and how he creates the unique voices of each Star Wars character:

I reference the movies a lot.  I’m a huge fan.  So if a Mon Calamari is on screen, I try to glean things from that. Sometimes I pick celebrities or personalities I feel embody the spirit of the character. I tried to get Carol Channing into one of the books but the director said no…:(

Star Wars author Aaron Allston has released a new eBook entitled An Occurrence At Bifrost Bridge. The eBook is available at Amazon, ArcherRat Publishing, and Apple’s iBook store for just $2.99. An Occurrence at Bifrost Bridge is a short fantasy story set in the 1940s:

New York Times bestselling author Aaron Allston brings you the story of a mortal man and the Viking gods − a story of snowy hells, deception, and death. In late 1941, writer Jim Langley vanished from his home, leaving behind an unfinished suicide note, taking only his firearms and the clothes on his back. An Occurrence at Bifrost Bridge tells the story of that disapearance − of Mist the Valkyrie, of the horses Ash and Embla, of the Norse gods and the Fenris-Wolf, and of the mystical superhighway in the sky, the Bifrost Bridge. An Occurrence at Bifrost Bridge includes author’s notes about the history, inspiration, and writing of the story.

The short story comes in at 9,300 words (plus another 1,100 with Allston’s notes). If you check out ArcherRat Publishing’s store, you can also pick up an eBook copy of Aaron Allston’s Dead But Hostile, a collection of three short stories about revenge.
