It’s Revmacd here, once again changing hats to become “The Fawning Fanboy”. This is my Fawning Fanboy Review of Rise of Planet of The Apes. There are two things you should know about The Fawning Fanboy Review on Roqoo Depot real quick and then we’ll move on to the review.

First thing is, I only review things I enjoy; golden rule and all that jazz. There are plenty of attack sites. If that’s what you’re looking for, just add the word “stinks” to the title of the movie in the Google search block and you’ll find thousands of them. Here at Roqoo Depot, we prefer what is right to what it is within our rights. We strive for a mature relationship with our readers and the properties we critique based on mutual respect rather than being based upon what we can get away with.

The other thing you should know is that there will be spoilers. Spoilers of all kinds. Spoilers spoilers spoilers. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Baen Books will be releasing a new book next April called Armored which will be an anthology of stories featuring armored power suits from human size to mech size. The book will include stories written by Alastair Reynolds, Dan Abnett, Jack Campbell, Jack McDevitt, Simon R Green, Sean Williams, and Genevieve Valentine, as well as Knight Errant author John Jackson Miller. John’s story is titled “Human Error” and according to his website the book is…

all on the power-armor theme — an armor-plated clip of hard-hitting tales featuring exoskeleton adventure with fascinating takes on possible future armors ranging from the style of personal power suits seen in Starship Troopers and Halo to the servo-controlled bipedal beast-mech style encountered in Mechwarrior and Battletech.”

The book will be released in paperback and pre-orders are available on Amazon. We’ll keep an eye for more details from John as well as confirmation on Sean Williams story in the book. It might not be a Star Wars book, but with people going around in heavy battle armor, it just might have that good old Mandalorian feel.

UPDATE: We just got confirmation for Star Wars author Sean Williams that his short story in Armored is title “The N-Body Solution.” Personally I think this will be a pretty good book to check out with no less than two Star Wars authors on board and a host of talented authors from other genres.
