New Warhammer Short Story by Paul S. Kemp “A Small Victory”
August 31, 2011 at 9:28 am | Posted in Books, Sci-Fi | Leave a commentTags: a small victory, age of legend, paul s. kemp, warhammer
Paul S. Kemp will have a new short story appearing in an upcoming Warhammer anthology entitled Age of Legend. The anthology is set to be released in January 2012. According to Mr. Kemp “the stories are set in the distant past of the Warhammer world, during the Time of Legends.” Aside from Paul S. Kemp and some seasoned Warhammer writers, Phil Athans will also be writing a short story for the anthology. Like Paul, Phil is a fellow Forgotten Realms writer and is also new to the Warhammer universe, so it will be interesting to see their take on it.
My story is entitled “A Small Victory” and is a very personal tale set in ancient Nehekhara, at a point in time when Nagash’s undead hordes are soon to sweep over the sands. I think it’s a compelling tale, very dark (as befits a Warhammer story), and I think you’ll dig. I hope you’ll check it out. -Paul S. Kemp
You can see Paul S. Kemp’s full post on the announcement here, on his blog Paul S. Kemp, Fictioneer.

Book Review: Conan by Michael A. Stackpole
August 30, 2011 at 12:18 pm | Posted in Books, Reviews | Leave a commentTags: conan, michael a. stackpole
With the recent film release of Conan, many readers might have seen the novelization on bookshelves. What you might not have realized is that it’s written by esteemed author Michael A. Stackpole. Now it’s one thing to read a book that was so good it inspired a movie, but novelizations are often not held up to the same standards as other books. I wondered to myself whether Stackpole could pull off a novelization that was truly enjoyable, one that could stand up on its own and not feel like a script with a few bonus scenes. Kinect: Star Wars Delay is Official
August 30, 2011 at 9:55 am | Posted in Star Wars News, Video Games | Leave a commentTags: kinect star wars
For weeks now the delay of Kinect: Star Wars has been known, but now it’s official:
Microsoft and LucasArts have elected to move the launch of Kinect Star Wars beyond holiday 2011 to ensure the full potential of this title is realized. This move applies to both the Kinect Star Wars stand-alone game and the Kinect Star Wars Limited Edition Console. We will communicate additional timing information at a later date. –Microsoft Spokesperson
As of yet there is no new release date for the game. It was originally slated for a December 31, 2011. The good news is that hopefully the delay will allow the developers to polish the game off and fix some of the issues that have been reported with early game previews.
