Schedule for Final Day of Comic Con 2011

Comic Con has released the final day’s schedule. There aren’t many Star Wars events on the final day, but here are the highlights.

  • Speculative Fiction: Space Odyssey, Alien Encounters, and Future Worlds panel will be a collection of science fiction writers discussing the genre. Writers will include Timothy Zahn, Greg Bear, Vernor Vinge, James S. A. Corey, Gini Koch, Ernest Cline, Kirsten Imani Kasai, David S. Goyer and Michael Cassutt. Moderated by Maryelizabeth Hart.
  • Star Wars Crafts panel will take a look at the Star Wars Craft Book and author Bonnie Burton, as well as the construction of a Yoda puppet.
  • Costuming 101: Dressing to Serve the Empire! will take a look at what goes into creating a quality suit of armor for the 501st Legion. The panel will include armor experts and plenty of quality costumes.
  • Starship Smackdown XIIX: 10th Anniversary: Ultimate Platinum Collector’s Edition: Will the Enterprise once again defeat an Imperial Star Destroyer? Can the Serenity make mincemeat out of the Battlestar Galactica? And what exactly is the “Captain’s Courageous” lightning round anyway? Ship experts will include Daren Dochterman, Chris Gossett, Ashley E. Miller, Steve Melching, Robert Hewitt Wolfe, Robert Meyer Burnett, and moderator Mark A. Altman. There will also be surprise guests and chaperone Madison Dylan.
