Borders is doing an interesting little author feature up until the release of Star Wars on Blu-Ray. Today they posted an article written by author Kristine Kathryn Rusch who wrote the Star Wars novel The New Rebellion. Kristine talks about Harrison Ford, films, and the iconic bad boy Han Solo. She touches upon her views of Han and how that affected her book. It’s a nice little article with some good insight, so be sure to check it out.

If you would like find out more about Kristine, you can visit her official website and remember this Tuesday will be the release of the digital Star Wars catalog which will include the eBook of The New Rebellion.

According to Publishers Weekly, the biggest publishing house on Twitter is none other than Random House. As a Star Wars fan, I’m proud to see all that book buying has helped keep Random House in the lead beating out HarperCollins, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Hachette, and Macmillan. Random House (@randomhouse) has 193,845 followers on Twitter (193,932 as I write this). That gives them a 10,000 follower lead over their closest competitor Penguin Group who has 183,477 (185457 right now, so the gap is closing fast). Twitter is certainly a thriving source for quick news and social interaction. For the sake of competition, let’s see if we can keep Random House ahead of the game.
