The International Space Station had a busy day yesterday, May 2ND 2011. The crew, comprised of an Italian, two NASA astronauts and three Russians, got a visit from an unpiloted ISS Progress resupply vehicle.
It was carrying 1,940 pounds of propellant, 110 pounds of oxygen and air, 926 pounds of water and 2,976 pounds of maintenance hardware, experiment equipment and resupply items for the Expedition 27/28 crew. Progress 42 docked to the station’s Pirs docking compartment at 10:28 a.m. (EDT) on April 29, 2011. It must be like Christmas in April. All the Tang and steak in a toothpaste tube you can eat while falling in circles. Now THAT’S an alley-dock!
