Pirates of the Caribbean: The Price of Freedom author, Ann C. Crispin, will be at the Fell’s Point Privateer Day and Swashbuckler Soiree in the Washington, D.C. area April 15th and 16th. She’ll be leading the POTC trivia quiz (in costume no less), and handing out free collector autographed bookplates. Price of Freedom isn’t due out until next month so readers will be able to paste the bookplates into their copies when they get them. POTC: The Price of Freedom is the Jack Sparrow back story, something Ann is familiar with writing. Previous to Jack Sparrow, Ann (as A.C. Crispin) penned the popular Han Solo trilogy back story, as well as Sarek for Star Trek.
Among the many events this year at Fell’s Point’s two-day pirate fest there will be a costume ball, sailing on the pirate ship Fearless and a sea battle between The Pride of Baltimore II and The Farewell. If you’re in the area don’t pass up this fun opportunity to let loose your pirate side.
